About PolyPipe:

PolyPipe, produces 5 layer pipes , which is among the modern industries, and the second biggest of its kind in the country. The Polypipe’s production line has been purchased from “Unicor company - Germany“, which is the most advanced manufacturer of multi-layer pipe machines in the world. The multi layer pipe is of the very latest technology in pipe manufacturing industries. These pipes offer the end user the mechanical strength of metal pipes while eliminating the known deficiencies of corrosion, considerable weight and electrical conductivity with its potentially devastating effect. In other words, in these pipes, all the advantages of metals and polymers have been wisely collected, and their disadvantages have been eliminated.

Poly Pipe will expand its products in the near future and will soon be able to manufacture the fittings, suitable for these type of pipes. These fittings will be produced in 2 different types:
1) Thread fittings   2) Press fittings

The factory is equipped with very modern laboratory, which continuously controls the quality of these pipes

Production Process:

The production process of these pipes consist of extruding, welding and cooling. There are 4 extruders in this process, which 4 of them, extrude the Polymer layers, and the other 2 extruders are responsible for the bonding layers (adhesive layers). As the figure below shows, the inner layer and the outer layer are both polymer, then these 2 layers are bonded to an  aluminum core which is longitudinally welded in an overlapping way. The aluminum is welded by “Ultrasonic” welding which is absolutely secure and tight. Multi-layer pipes are basically a metallic pipe that is tightly bonded to an inner plastic pipe and an outer plastic coating.

One of the largest and most rapidly growing sectors of the market for Poly Ethylene compounds is the production of multi-layer pipes, e.g. co-extruded pipes PE/Al/PE. (PE-Al-PE is the short name given to this type of pipe, and it represents the structure of this pipe).

The raw material that Poly Pipe makes its pips out of, is PE-RT, which is the Poly Ethylene Raised Temperature, which is much more pressure and temperature resistant in comparison to pure Poly Ethylene.
